The Process
Once you have decided on the album(s) you would like, I ask for a £100 non refundable deposit to confirm your order. I then request your image choices and design your album. When the first draft is complete, I send you the proofs and make any amendments you would like. We then decide your fabric choices and cover personalisation along with the text and font you would like. Once you are happy, I then invoice you for the full amount and send your album off for print!
Fabric Choices
Natural / Lux Linens
Classic bookbinding cloth available in a beautiful selection of colours. Most of the standard natural linens are smooth to touch.
Premium Pastel Linens
Natural, hand woven linens in exquisite colours. The uneven fabric texture makes every cover unique.
Genuine Leathers
Top-quality, full grain Italian leather. Simply classic.
Leatherlikes
Synthetic animal friendly cloth that resembles natural leather.
Velvet
Wonderfully soft, yet hard-wearing texture poliester fabric. A great animal friendly alternative.
Cover Options
- Please note that some personalisations are not available in all cover types -
Embossing
Embossing is the process of stamping a brass type into the fabric at great pressure and temperature leaving the letters permanently impressed into the surface of the cover. We use font Futura PT Book 9mm in colours: Clear, Gold and White. Embossing looks great on leather!
Cameo
One of the most popular personalisation options, a cameo cover has an aperture cut out of the front cover to display a specially laminated photograph of your choosing.
Over Print
A special foil is bonded with the linen. Similar to embossing but it doesn't dent the cover and is flat. Available in gold, silver, white, black.
Laser Etching
By using focused laser beam, we are able to burn into the fabric, wood or leather. The final effect depends on several variables including fabric type.
